Hiking Specific Gear
- The trails in Guatemala can be steep, lots of our clients benefit from having hiking poles. We have some loaners but here are a few options if you want to bring your own.
- A solid combination of hiking socks and boots will make all the difference out on the trail. A lot of people hike in sneakers, but trust us, your feet will thank you later if you treat them well.
- Please bring your own water bottle and let's do our best to avoid single use plastic. Either a couple water bottles or a hydration pack will keep you going.
- Layers are your friend on our hikes. You'll be warm while moving but we often get up to high elevations and the lower temps mean you'll want to add layers. The Patagonia Nano Puff has a nice weight to warmth combo. Convertible pants are another versatile piece of gear for varying temps.
